Having Fun with Learning!

Message from the Principal

This week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you FPTA for the AMAZING treats each day! You definitely covered all bases- breakfast, lunch and specialty snacks! Your thoughtfulness and generosity was greatly appreciated!

Our celebration tree is coming to life with student created ornaments and crafts. This month we celebrate Asian-Pacific Month as well as Memorial Day. If you create a special craft to celebrate please send them in to share on our tree.

Please speak with your children about fidget toys in school. Students are sharing and trading them in the classrooms and at lunch/recess. Unfortunately, this is turning into disruptions, arguments and hurt feelings. Students are being asked to keep these items home.

Please continue to me mindful at drop-off and pick up especially with the combining of cohorts. As you can see the MOPD has been present to ensure the safety of our school community. Please keep these items in mind:

  1. There are circles on the ground for students to stand on as they line up in the morning. Please be sure your child utilizes them and remains socially distant.
  2. Please do not arrive to school before 8:20 whether you are walking or in the car line.
  3. Students are not to be left before the bell rings at 8:26- please do not leave them until you hear it.
  4. When using the carline, please pull all the way up, only let children out on the passenger side, do not get out of your car, and never pass another car. This is all for the safety of our children and staff.
  5. Students should not be dropped off on Clover Hill Drive- please use the carline
  6. Please do not make U-Turns during arrival and dismissal

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Happy Mother's Day to all our Mountain View Moms and Grandmas!

Apply for Free/Reduced Lunch

Per N.J.A.C. 2:36-1.5(d), "Students are eligible for school meal benefits or free milk for

the school year and up to 30 operating days in the subsequent school year". As of

October 21 2020, all students who previously qualified for free and reduced lunch in the

2019-2020 school year that have not submitted a lunch application for the 2020-2021

school year, have been reset to "paid" status. Although this has no immediate

impact on any student because of the “free lunch for all”, when/if the” free lunch

for all” status is lifted, students will be required to pay for their meals (breakfast

and lunch) until an application has been received and processed.

To avoid an interruption in benefits please proceed to the Realtime Parent Portal to

either fill out an application otherwise, please indicate that you do not wish to apply at

this time. Please note that only ONE (1) application per FAMILY, is required to

determine qualification status. status.
