Our first concert is this Tuesday, August 30th at 7pm in the TMHS auditorium! We invite you to come gather more information about all of the events we have going on this year, and to listen to some of the awesome work our students have already accomplished in just 2 short weeks.

Students must be at TMHS by 6pm in their seat in the auditorium, dressed in their choir polo, jeans with no holes, and closed toe shoes. This performance is worth 4 major grades for students: punctuality, attire, performance, and audience etiquette.

Our first home football game is this week! Chorale students will sing the National Anthem at every home game this year, and these will be major grades as they are performances. All Chorale students are expected to sing at the game, but do not have to stay for the game. Students must be at the TISD stadium by 5:45, and there will also be a bus from TMHS to the stadium. The bus will leave TMHS at 5:30. Students are encouraged to drive themselves or get a ride home, but there will be transportation back to TMHS at the conclusion of the games as well. Students are welcome to stay at TMHS after school to wait and ride the bus, but food will not be provided for this game. Students may order food or go get food and bring it back to TMHS before the game.

Upon arrival to the TISD stadium, students should enter by the auxiliary personnel entrance on the south side of the stadium under the scoreboard, where the band and drill team enter.

Singers do not need a ticket for the game. Students should wear their choir polo, jeans with no holes, and closed toe shoes.

This is a major grade for students to complete by August 30th!

Our Choir Booster Club will also be doing a raffle for a choir hoodie for getting all forms and fees in. Students can also be entered in the raffle for the more chocolate they sell.

Please make sure you arrive on time tomorrow morning if you are participating in this flag holiday. Pick up is at 9am at TMHS in the band lot.

If your student is auditioning for the All-State District Audition on September 10, please make sure they have filled out the following form by Wednesday, August 31st.

District auditions are at Caney Creek High School on September 10th. Students will ride the bus to Caney Creek High School or will meet at TMHS to follow the bus.

Reminder - If we submit your name to audition, it is expected that you follow through with the audition. The TMHS Choir will pay for your All-State music and for your audition fee, but if you do not show up to the audition you will reimburse the choir program for those costs. If your student has a music packet and is no longer wishing to audition they need to return the music packet by Wednesday, August 31st or will need to pay for the music packet.

The packet cost is $30 and the district audition fee is $22.

This is an intensive one-day workshop held on Saturday, September 3rd at TWHS 9th grade campus 10010 Branch Crossing Drive, The Woodlands 77382. Lunch and two bottles of water are included in the $25 registration, which is paid on-site. Sectional rehearsals will be led by highly successful teachers from 9-11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30-12:30, and Teaching will again resume from 12:30-1:30. Students will assemble for a final run-through from 1:30-2:00. The workshop concludes at 2:00. We hope to see you there!

If we have enough students from TMHS sign up we may provide transportation!
