Dismissal Tag Reminder
Please remember that ALL students must be picked up using a dismissal tag (walkers, carpool, etc.). If the person picking up a student does not have a dismissal tag, he/she will be asked to sign the student out in the front office. This procedure ensures the safety of all students when being released at the end of the day.
We love our visitors at McCall, but the first several weeks of school we are working hard to establish routines and procedures with our students. For this reason, we ask that there are no lunch visitors until after the first several weeks of school. We will start welcoming lunch visitors the week of September 11, 2023. We appreciate your partnership as we set the foundation for another great school year!
PACE (Plano ISD's Gifted and Talented Program) Information
The PACE program focuses on gifted academic experiences and personal development. Although many PACE students also possess artistic or musical talent, courses exist outside of the PACE program for students talented in speech, the performing arts, and/or the visual arts.
Students participate in PACE based upon the results of standardized tests and observation/performance in the classroom. Parents, teachers, and/or students may make referrals for PACE assessment by completing the appropriate grade level referral form by the stated deadline. No referral is declined unless it is unsigned by a parent or submitted after the published deadline. Elementary students are assessed late in the first semester for services beginning in early spring. Please see below for more information regarding the PACE referral process.

Join the McCall PTA
The McCall PTA is an organization made up of hundreds of McCall parents, grandparents, McCall staff members, and community members who work to create the best possible educational experience for our students and provide support for our teachers.
We provide exciting educational programs for both students and parents, and through our fundraising programs we work to meet our school's needs that are outside the scope of the school's budget.
Through our fundraising efforts, PTA provides gifting to McCall that has been used towards items such as:
- Field trips completely paid for!
- Field day t-shirts
- Choir t-shirts
- Library books
- classroom equipment
- playground equipment
- ......just to name a few!
Research strongly shows that a parent’s involvement in a child’s education is a huge contributor to that student’s success in school both academically and behaviorally. The PTA is one great way to get involved!
By being a PTA member you will get important updates about McCall PTA programs, volunteer opportunities, and ways to be directly involved in your student's education.
PTA members are not required to attend meetings or volunteer. Simply joining supports our school and makes the PTA stronger—and it gives you a vote on PTA budget and activities!
