Tech You Have To Try

Classwork Zoom

It's easy to monitor and keep track of group work inside a classroom, who is working, who is collaborating and interacting. But when the same work goes virtual or is completed outside of class it is hard to tell who contributed and who did not. That is until Classwork Zoom came along. Classwork Zoom uses the version history of the different Google applications to compile a report of who worked on, for how long, and what they did to give teachers an understanding of what is going on in the digital class. Created by a teacher it gives peace of mind to those virtual, flipped classroom, or outside of class assignments. Learn more or download the Classwork Zoom extension here.

Buncee

Usually, I try to just stick to free or freemium applications but Buncee is such a great tool I think it is worth a look and to use the free trial period. Buncee is a creation and communication tool for students, educators, and administrators to create interactive content, allowing those of all ages to visualize concepts and communicate creatively. Buncee’s interactive, drag-and-drop interface helps students, educators, and administrators create engaging multimedia projects and presentations to increase interactivity and flip the classroom. Real World Math

Do you teach math? Do you want great ways to incorporate real-world/life problems to capture the importance of math in student's lives? Try Real World Math, it utilizes Google Earth to not only teach math concepts but also locations and landscapes. From exchange rates, time zones, line graphs and so much more. Each lesson has a downloadable file to import into Google Earth to teach the math concept as they travel around the globe. To learn more or start downloading lessons click here.

Picture-in-Picture

Multi-tasking? Picture-in-Picture (PiP) allows you to watch videos in a floating window (always on top of other windows) so you can keep an eye on what you’re watching while interacting with other sites, or applications. Great multitasking application. To learn more or download the extension click here.
