Adding and Subtracting Fractions
Step 1:
The first thing you need to do is ONLY if you have mixed numbers in your equation. You need to make your mixed number into a improper fraction
Step 2:
Find the least common denominator
Step 3:
Then multiply the numerator how you multiplied the denominator
Step 4:
And then add/subtract the numerators together and the denominator stays the same
Multiplying Fractions
Step 1:
The first thing you need to do is convert any improper mixed numbers into improper fractions
Step 2:
Next, you are going to multiply the numerators by each other and the denominators by each other
Step 3:
The last thing you have to do is simplify and then your done!!!
Dividing Fractions
Step 1:
The first thing you need to do is convert any mixed number into an improper fractions
(if you don't have any mixed numbers than ignore this step)
Step 2:
You are going to keep 1 of the fractions the same and find the reciprocal of the other number.
Step 3:
And then, you are going to MULTIPLY, not divide, MULTIPLY across.
Step 4:
Last, you are going to simplify your final answer and than you are done. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
