Lakota Preschool Daily Memo
By: Kelly Miller
UPDATES:
I would like to take the time to remind everyone of the importance of active monitoring. This includes...
a. counting aloud and verbally telling numbers/names of kids to teaching partners
b. always scanning the room, being aware of all students
c. double checking surroundings before leaving a location
d. using the door posters and backpack posters
e. maintaining a 10:1 ratio at all times, including during transitions and restroom breaks!
f. use of Walkie talkies to maintain ratio or get assistance. All classrooms should have theirs on and should be using them! We've seen them come in handy when the floating IA or AT needs to support the next classroom!

From Katie McClure:
A HUGE shout-out to Kelly for taking me to the doctors and home on Wednesday! I really appreciate the time you took out of your day to make sure I was taken care of. :)
To Sue, Lauren, and Deb: Thank you for all that you do on a daily basis with the kids and holding down the fort! I seriously don't know what I would do without you all!
Vanessa: Thank you for printing off my newsletter and with other things I'm sure you helped out with the past two days.
Jenny, Gina, Kelly, Stephanie, Nicolle: Well first off thank you Jenny for taking on my itinerant student tomorrow morning. But also, then rest of you for making sure everything was taken care of for him and the family!
