Letters to Santa

Hello All!

PTHS Leadership and Student Council are collecting letters to Santa for the Make-A-Wish organization. With each letter we collect Macy's Department Store will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish. Last year we were able to help raise $15,000 for Make A Wish through this project!

I'm attaching a letter template, but letters can be written, typed or printed on any type of paper. If you plan to send through school mail send to Caity Rutledge at the high school by Thursday, Dec. 13th. Or Leadership is happy to pick up from your campus!

If you choose to write the letter online here just email Caity Rutledge how many students participated! crutledge@ptisd.org

Curriculum Corner

Who?

Mrs. Mathis

What is it?

Heggerty

When?

In the video you will see me do a big chunk of the Heggerty Book all together, however I usually do not usually do it this way. I do our Heggerty lessons in small segments throughout the day (between other activities, as we are waiting in the hallways, etc).

How long?

I try to do it in 2-5 minute segments throughout the day. I use it as a transition from one activity to the next, or if we're waiting in the hallways for specials etc

Teacher does

Says the prompt given by the Heggerty book

Students do

Copy the word and then do a specific task with the word

Helpful Tips

I found that it's helpful for my class specifically to have the Heggerty book lessons spread out throughout the day.
