Magee Kloepfer- Your New Librarian
Let me take a moment to introduce myself. After graduating from Bolton High School in 1996, I earned my Bachelor's degree in history and secondary education from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. In 2001 I moved to Alexandria, VA outside of DC where I taught middle school and high school social studies. During that time I also earned my Master's degree in curriculum and instruction and my National Board Certification. After 13 years of teaching I decided I needed a change, so I went back to school to earn my Master's in school librarianship from Longwood University. Last year my husband and I made the decision to move our three boys closer to family, which brought us here! I am extremely excited to begin my journey as a librarian here at Bolton High School. If there is anything you need, please don't hesitate to ask!
What Can I Do For You?
Having been in the classroom for 15 years, I understand how completely overwhelming it can be at the start of the year. Please remember that I am here to support you in any way I can. Here is a short list of just some of the things I can assist you with:
- Data gathering
- Provide access to quality resources
- Provide assistance with integrating technology in the classroom
- Differentiation of instruction
- Teach research skills to students- including finding valid information on the internet
- Co-teach lessons
If there is anything you need, please don't ever hesitate to ask!
