Lincoln Celebrates Their First GREAT Days!
2022-23 Where the Stars Shine!
Good afternoon Lincoln Families:
Welcome officially to the kick off of the 2022-23 school year. My goal this year is to have newsletters that are not only filled with important information for families, but to have photos of students and articles written by students. I love to see the students' views of things that are happening in the school and/or on field trips. This particular newsletter contains a bit more information from 5th graders as it is only day 10 of school! (Isn't that crazy??!!) So, many of the younger grades are still trying to find their rhythm for the year. Newsletters will be sent on the 1st and 15th of each month.
I sincerely hope that everyone has had a positive start to the school year! If I can ever be of service to you or your family, please don't hesitate to reach out via Seesaw, email, and/or phone.
Thank you for your partnership,
Mrs. Whooley Jepson

We encourage all families and staff members to join our Parent Teacher Organization. Meetings will be on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:30. (This month, our family fun night is the 3rd Tuesday so the PTO meeting has been moved to the third Wednesday at 5:30 in the library). PTO has been gracious in providing a fun new gaga pit for our students to play in on the playground, planning a 5th grade celebration complete with popcorn and cotton candy, movie night, reading night, dinners for teachers on parent/teacher conference nights, popping popcorn for our monthly Spirit Day Celebration, helping with our school store monthly, and etc. It is a very active group who really works hard to provide great opportunities for our students and staff. Feel free to join just one or all meetings...join their facebook page...connect with them through email at LincolnPTO@gmail.com

Fred the Worm - Synergy - By Evelyn Hrdina
Today we had a challenge to work together to save Fred the Worm. Maybe you did this; but, we had to put our thoughts together somehow and save his life. If someone felt like they were doing nothing you could say "Hey, is there any way I can help with this project, because I feel left out?" Maybe and hopefully they would say yes. That's what synergy is all about - sharing and working together and I hope you guys can work together and have fun! ----By Evelyn Hrdina

Cristian also took team and individual pictures of staff!
Important Change for 2022-23 Before School
Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 8:10-8:30 daily. All students should enter Door 3 on the playground and proceed directly to the cafeteria without stopping at coat hooks. Bus riders may pick up a bagged breakfast in the cafeteria on their way to class. There will not be supervision before school on the playground so students should either arrive at 8:10 for breakfast or if not eating breakfast at school, should arrive at 8:30,
Volunteer Needed
We would ask any family member or community member that would like to volunteer in the schools at some point this year, to fill out the volunteer application at https://www.wausauschools.org/programs/one-volunteer-network. Please expect 2 weeks for your application to be approved. I have posted 3 volunteer opportunities presently that I'm hoping we can fill: after school coaches in flag football or volleyball and recess walking club recorder.
