Miss Park's March Newsletter
Dear Parents,
We are wondering if March will roar in like a lion or sheepishly take us to spring! I am voting for the warm spring breeze!
I would like to thank all of you that signed up to be a Mystery Reader during the month of March. The children will enjoy the stories and surprise readers!
Important Dates:
3/3: Read Across America
3/6: Picture Day
3/7: Book Orders DUE
3/9: Daylight Savings Time
3/20: Spring Begins
ELA Update
We will begin our fourth anthology tomorrow. Please continue to look over the blue Home School Connection letters that come home on Mondays.
Please continue practicing the high-frequency words with your child. Please keep in mind that the students are reading a lot of the stories and answers on their own on the mid-theme and theme tests.
Math Update
Please refer to the Everyday Math Parent Home Links that come home for each unit. We will be working on Unit 6 and 7 this month. Please continue to practice math facts with your child. Knowing their addition and subtraction facts will be a grade on their report card for the 3rd marking period.
Science and Social Studies Update
We will be having Mystery Readers during this time but the students will be learning about insects, the signs of spring, St. Patrick’s Day and plants!
I hope everyone has a Marvelous March!
