Concert in the Park - Grades 6-8 Band
Thank You, Mr. Delong, for 21 Years of Excellence in our Community!
Principal G's Message
For the first time in over a year, we were able to host a public event this week. Unfortunately, Mother Nature limited our ability to host a concert for our Choir and Orchestra student musicians. No worries. Being the resilient, young problem solvers that they are, they created a virtual concert for all to enjoy.
On Wednesday though, the weather held off and our 6th, 7th and 8th grade Band students who performed splendidly in the park for our community. We are so proud of them for allowing us to celebrate their musical brilliance. They did an amazing job! It reminded us of what is most important in a time when we will be renorming our lived experiences. Our kids all have genius in them. It is such a gift to see them bloom and develop like flowers in springtime. Thank you for sharing them with us!
On another note we celebrate four Husky employees who will be transitioning to a new journey ahead.
Mr. Patrick Blea - Counselor guru who has graciously served this community for 17 years.
Dr. Monica Zucker - Administrator extraordinaire who has served 28 years in public education, 22 years in CCSD!
Mrs. Patricia Felker - Administrative Assistant who has selflessly served the Cherry Creek School District for 33 years.
Mr. Doug Delong - Our Band Director who has taught thousands of students for 21 years in our Horizon Community.
Thank you, all, for your service and contributions to our community and beyond, we love ya!
