Watch D.O.G.S.
What is it?
Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a program that encourages dads and other father figures to volunteer at our school.
What would I be doing?
You would spend time with small groups of students helping them practice math facts, read stories, or play games.

Family Feedback Survey
You should have received an invitation to participate in our annual Park Hill Parent/Guardian survey, which will be open until October 4th. The email from Panorama will have a unique link to access your survey. Panorama is a third party administrator that keeps all of the data from our survey strictly confidential.
If you do not have access to the email with the survey link, this link will take you to our school’s survey. The Southeast access code is: 3499804515
We will share the results with the public after the survey window closes. Thank you in advance for completing your parent/guardian survey as we use the results to monitor our strategic measures and continuously improve Park Hill.
If you have any questions, please email Dr. Mike Kimbrel.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Back Snack Program
The Park Hill School District continues to collaborate with Harvesters, the Community Food Network, in order to bring their BackSnack Program to Southeast again this year.
Each week, if you choose to participate, your student(s) will bring home a sack full of kid-friendly food in their back pack. The sacks will be sent home on Friday or on the last day of school for that week. If you are interested in your child participating in BackSnack, please call or email Ms. Hart with your child’s name. There are no income qualifications; all students are welcome to participate.

Social Worker Spotlight
Thank you for taking the time to read my tips and facts about attendance over the last several weeks! Please know that you can reach out to me anytime for help with attendance. Here you’ll find my last Tip of the Week—
- Tip of the week— To help ensure positive attendance, aim for consistency in your child’s bedtime. Make a commitment that your child will always be in bed at a certain time, with the alarm set for the next day. Consistency is KEY in ensuring successful mornings and on-time arrivals. Talk to your child about why you are making a commitment to positive attendance, so that they know school is important to you, too.

Box Top Popsicle Party Contest
Box Tops is running a special promotion, and families can earn DOUBLE POINTS on purchases made prior to September 22 and scanned within 14 days.
You might be thinking, "Scanned?" Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production, but continue to be found on many products throughout the store. You can still clip them and send them to school. Every valid Box Tops is worth $0.10 for our school. Make sure each one has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date.
Eventually, the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops label. If you see the label pictured, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth $0.10 for our school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to our school's earnings online.
Participate in PTA Reflections Contest!
Early Release Dates
All elementary schools will have an early release, once a month, for our teachers to receive professional development focused on increasing student success. On early release dates, all elementary schools release at 1:30 PM. Below you will find the dates for the 2019-2020 school year. Early release transportation arrangements must be communicated with your child’s teacher. At Back to School Night forms will be available, for parents to complete, regarding after school and early release transportation arrangements. If transportation changes need to be made, throughout the year, please contact your child’s teacher or the Southeast Office.

Do You Know A Park Hill Star?
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
Southeast Communication
You will find several ways to stay up to date on school activities throughout the year on the Southeast website , Facebook, Twitter and newsletters from your child’s teacher. You will also occasionally get an automated email or voicemail message sent to you by the school with important information and reminders. We know two-way communication is best, so please feel free to call, email, or stop by the school with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.
