Family Engineering Night Additions

Kudos go out to Jessica Maudline (student teacher working in Georgi's room) and Beth Anderson. I overlooked them in last week's memo. They were valuable members of the Family Engineering Night team and contributed much to the event. Thanks, Beth and Jessica, for all you did to help make the night a success.

Joining our EC Staff - Angie Strickland

I began my time with HSE as a temporary IA in the Early Childhood department at Brooks School Elementary last September. I loved working with the kids so much that I decided to become an EC sub once my position ended. I am thrilled to be back in EC for another temporary position at CRE.

I am so excited to see spring coming as I love to garden and camp.

Student Teaching with Andrea is Apiradee Ngamkamolrat

My name is Apiradee Ngamkamolrat, a bilingual educator from Bangkok, Thailand. I am very glad to be a part of Cumberland Road Elementary School, this Spring semester. I am honored to have an opportunity to do my student teaching, with Ms. Andrea Hale. I am hoping to become a certified teacher, in May 2015. I have spent the past six years, working as an educator in a variety of settings, serving as a teacher, administrator, and a program coordinator, for an after school program.

I have earned a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from University of Central Arkansas and a second Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, from Indiana University, South Bend. TO pursue my education and to live life to its fullest, I have traveled to many different countries such as Canada, Italy, Singapore, Laos, and Burma, just to name a few.

I am a strong, determined woman, who enjoys the diversity of cultures, languages, food, customs and people. I am delighted at the opportunity that newness presents. I welcome the opportunity to foster mutual learning and to create understanding among people from an ever more connected world.
