GT News Update

3rd & 4th Grade

Celebrate Our Kiddos Gifts and Talents at our GT Expo in May!

All of the kiddos have been working hard on their learning projects of the semester! They would love to share all of their hard work and gained knowledge at the end of the semester. Each of the 3rd and 4th grade GT students will then choose the project(s) and challenges that they would like to share with the audience of students, staff, and parents.

We would love to invite you to come see their projects and challenges in May! Mark the following dates in your calendars, if you would like to come see these kiddos shine!

All GT Projects will be displayed in their school's library on their given day. The students will then be standing by their projects to answer any questions, and/or present their challenges to the audience during their assigned time.

Educate: Article on Mindsets of our Kiddos by Byrdseed

This is an article titled, "I Thought You Were Smart". One of the downfalls of being gifted is not understanding how hard work can be an important part of learning. This article does a great job helping us explain the process to our kiddos.

Last Day of GT Classes: May 8th

The last day of GT classes for all schools in KISD is May 8, 2015. The end of the year testing window for students testing for GT services begins on May 11. It has been a privilege being your child's teacher this year. Thank you for sharing your children with me. They each hold a special place in my heart!
