Hello Parents and Families

Our first three days of school are in the books and they were terrific. I know you may be thinking, “Well he has to say that.” but I don’t and I tell you the first three days were genuinely terrific. The kids have been very well behaved, helpful to one another, courteous to one another and staff and just a pleasure to have back in the building. A school is just another building…until the kids arrive, then it’s true purpose shines. North Pole Middle School faculty is thankful you have chosen to send your kids back to in person learning.

Our new school start and end times for students are 7:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.


Students can be dropped off in the morning at 7:00 a.m. at which time doors will be opened.


Students should plan on leaving the school by 2:35 p.m. unless they are in an after school activity sponsored by school staff.

If your student needs to ride the bus to or from school to get home please be sure to register for a stop. The following link will take you to the School District webpage to register your student for transportation and find additional information regarding mask expectations while on the bus.

Masks

Currently masks are not required in the FNSBSD buildings but ARE required on school busses. Please know that any student, staff member or guest to North Pole Middle School has the choice to either wear or not wear a mask and be fully supported in their decision making by those around them.

PTO

Thank you to all of the parents (so far there are 8) who have expressed interest in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), if you have interest in participating or helping out periodically please click the link below.


Our first meeting will be held August 30th from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in room 134a at North Pole Middle School. Please feel free to join us even if you haven't expressed interest via the Google form.

School Pictures

School pictures will take place September 23rd and 24th. As the date gets closer be on the lookout for picture packet information and a schedule for which day your student will have their photo taken.

Track Meet Help

We have three track meets scheduled for this September and we could use 2-3 parents who might be willing to help time kids, measure things, and just be overall support for the kids and school. All track meets take place at North Pole High School track and begin around 10:00 a.m. Definite start times will be determined shortly and meets are typically over by 1:45 pm. Reminder that both breakfast and lunches are free for ALL STUDENTS for the 2021-2022 school year, no paperwork and no strings attached. The link for our Nutrition Services Department is here, https://www.k12northstar.org/nutrition if you would like more information.


Any “a-la-cart” items that the cafeteria may sell will be sold to students and that money will come out of their lunch account. Information about the cost of items can be found below. This link, https://k12northstar.nutrislice.com/menu/menus-eula will take you to a list of all schools in the district so you can see each schools’ breakfast and lunch menu if you are interested.
