Finals Week

Dear Lions,

This is it! It is your finals week. It is great to see the work that scholars are putting in on reviewing for final exams and working together on final projects. Remember that we have a different schedule this week, with early release on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Do your best!

There are soccer and basketball games next week - most are away games. 12/11 Boys and Girls basketball plays against Richmond High School at 4:30pm and 3pm. (That’s tomorrow!) Boys soccer plays against Anzar (away) at 3:30pm on 12/14; against Oakwood (away) at 4pm on 12/16. Girls soccer plays Thomas More on 12/15pm at YB; against Oakwood (away) at 4pm on 12/16; against SSF (away) at 5pm on 12/17.

Congratulations to all of our end of semester award honorees. Each grade level teachers nominated scholars who demonstrated LVLA school wide outcomes of: resilience, responsibility and leadership. Advisors determined winners from the nominations. LVLA staff hopes that each of you continue to grow in these areas as you continue to build character, learn new skills and take on new challenges in your life.

Mr. Viri's class has won the door decorating contest this month, organized by Spirit Squad. They will receive a pizza party lunch in January. See the photos of the amazing doors below in the photo gallery.

Thank you so much for the donations of blankets, socks and sweaters to benefit farm workers. We are still collecting toys for Toys for Tots.

In community,

Ms. Silb
