Jacksonville City Schools' Educator Effectiveness Evaluation System
The purpose of this professional development session is to orient teachers to the new Jacksonville City Schools Educator Effectiveness Evaluation System. This system is designed to aid teachers in the identification of areas in need of growth and to provide them with the structures and supports necessary to increase effectiveness. The observation rubrics developed by Jacksonville City Schools' teachers and leaders align with instructional focuses and guide teachers and leaders in a shared understanding of specific attributes, actions, and outcomes aligned with each instructional strategy. The primary purpose of the educator effectiveness system is to support growth in instructional practice that will ultimately lead to continuous improvement and increases in student performance.
The JCS Educator Effectiveness Evaluation System will replace Educate Alabama in September of 2017.
