Happy first day of Spring!!


We hope you all had a wonderful and restful break last week! It was great to see everyone again and get back into the important business of learning.


We have a busy, busy spring ahead of us! There are lots of activities and lots of work still to be done! Some of those activities and opportunities are listed below, so please read on to stay informed. Thank you!!

Families and schools are critical links in providing the foundation for cardiovascular wellness in our country. By holding this event at your school each year, you raise awareness about heart-healthy living. And you help us fund more lifesaving scientific research and critically needed education efforts. Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered for Junior Achievement. All of the spots have been filled for the classes that needed a volunteer! We are all very appreciative of the help!!!

Kindergarten and First Grade Round-up

Kindergarten and First Grade Round-up will be April 6th - 10th from 8:00-2:30 each day. Late hours will be on April 7th from 5:00-7:00. This is registration for all incoming kinder and first graders for the 2015-2016 school year. Call the front office at 817-744-4700 to make an appointment. Thanks!

Diabetes Walk!!!

Where: Keller ISD Athletic Complex 600 North Pate-Orr Rd Keller, TX


When: Saturday, March 28, 2015 8:00-11:30


Why: Nearly 100 Keller ISD students suffer from type 1 diabetes along with an undetermined number of children at risk for type 2. (at least 245). Approximately 29.1 Americans have diabetes and more than 5 million of them do not even know they have the disease. American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.


Please consider the following:

  • Donate online ($10) to campus team.
  • Raise $100 and get 4 Free tickets to Texas Rangers
  • Invite someone to the WALK
  • Attend the event.
  • Contact Debbie Gregor deborah.gregor@kellerisd.net if you have diabetes. She will give you a Free RED STRIDER CAP if you register for the walk! (First 100 to contact her)
  • STOP DIABETES! It takes us ALL working together!

Diabetes Donations Drive


Next week, March 23rd-27th, we will be having a competition between classes to see which class at each grade level can collect the most money. All donations will go directly to the American Diabetes Association as part of the KISD School Walk for Diabetes. Coins, cash and checks are welcome. Checks should be made out to ADA or American Diabetes Association.

There will be a winning class for each grade level. The winning classes will get an EXTRA 20 minute recess!! The day of the extra recess will be the teacher’s choice. Winning classes will be announced during announcements the week of March 30th.

This will be a fun competition for the students and it benefits a great cause! Our school's goal is to raise $2,500 and our district goal is $100,000.

Technology Survey

Dear Florence Families,

Our campus has been selected as part of our sample group to participate in an information gathering activity. In order to comply with House Bill 5 measures, our district will need to use a tool to assess student, teacher, and parent perception relating to digital learning opportunities in Keller ISD. We would like your help in gathering data from our parents.

The survey takes about five minutes and can be accessed on the left hand side of our Florence Website or the direct link can be found by clicking on BrightBytes Parent Link.

Annual Blood Drive
