Flu Vaccine Reminder - Deadline Extended to 2/28/20
This is a reminder that Massachusetts requires all students attending school (grades K-12), to receive the flu vaccine. The deadline for parents / guardians to provide flu vaccine documentation to their child's school has been extended to February 28, 2021. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the flu vaccine is especially critical to keeping our community safe and assuring that medical resources are available to community members with COVID-19.
Please call your healthcare provider as soon as possible to schedule a time to get your child vaccinated for flu.
The flu vaccine is available at Target, Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart.
If you need assistance to get a flu vaccine for your child by February 28, please contact your school nurse.
Provide proof of your child’s flu vaccine to your school nurse as soon as possible!
You can find answers to your questions about Massachusetts’ flu vaccine requirement here. Please make every effort to have your child vaccinated for the flu as soon as possible.
Once you child has received the vaccine, please submit documentation from the doctor to the school. You can email documentation to our nurse, Tara Haire - thaire@framingham.k12.ma.us
