The Booster fundraiser is underway and we are already well on our way to reaching the goal of $20,000. This is the first year the McKinley PTO has used an outside vendor to support their fundraising efforts and early indications are that this fundraiser is going well. The Fun Run is the culminating activity of our fundraising week and will take place September 28. During the week leading up to the Run, the Boosterthon Representatives are visiting classrooms daily and the students are engaged in fun, motivational, character building videos. The Booster Fun Run will take place during the day on Wednesday, September 28. The run schedule has been revised, so please note the new times. Families are welcome to come and cheer on students as they run laps.

Fun Run Schedule:

• 10:15 - 11:05 - Grades K & 1

• 11:15 - 12:05 - Grades 2 & 3

• 12:25 - 1:15 - Grades 4 & 5

McKinley Family Night will take place Thursday, September 29 from 5:00 - 7:30PM. The McKinley PTO and the entire staff would like to invite your family to join us for a fun filled evening. DJ Mountain Drew will be entertaining the audience, bounce houses will be set up and Route 65 will be offering food to purchase. Students who walk the track will be able to earn foot charms to go along with the dog tag they will receive in school on Thursday. The family night is not a fundraiser, rather it's a great opportunity to come together with other McKinley families for a night of fun and comradery. Thank you to the McKinley PTO for sponsoring this wonderful event.

Parent teacher conferences are coming up soon. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up for a time to meet with your child's teacher. If you haven't done so yet, please log in to MyConferenceTime and select a day and time that works for your family. Conferences are held in-person, but a virtual option using Google Meet is available if needed.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the McKinley media center! Families are invited to join your child and help him/her find some new books they will enjoy reading. Students will be visiting the Book Fair during their media class times with Mrs. Rarden and the Book Fair will be open during parent teacher conferences.
