3rd - 4th & 5th Grade Testing
We recommend that students get a good nights sleep and eat a good breakfast and lunch. There will be make up days so please keep your student home if they are not feeling well.
Student Test Results in ParentVUE
The administration of our state assessments will take place between April 8 and June 4, 2019. State test scores will be available in ParentVUE! You will be able to see your child’s test results sooner than in prior years with less impact on the environment. For the English Language Arts and Math tests, a student’s score is available in ParentVUE two weeks after both parts of the test are completed.
Due to the implementation of the new state science test this year, science scores will not be available until next fall after passing scores are identified by the Oregon Department of Education.
The Testing Information tab in ParentVUE has links to additional information about your child’s scores. If you need assistance activating a ParentVUE account, please contact your child’s school. Learn more about ParentVUE.
Please note: these scores are not currently available in the ParentVue phone app. Students whose parents/guardians do not have an active ParentVUE account will receive a paper report of test scores. Paper score reports with English Language Arts and Math test results with will be sent home with students on the last day of school. Score reports will be mailed over the summer for students with English Language Arts and Math test results that arrive after the paper score reports are printed in June. Students with at least one parent/guardian with ParentVUE access may request a printed report by contacting Kay Jenkins by email at kay_jenkins@beaverton.k12.or.us or by phone at 503.356.4594.

Findley traffic enforcement underway
You may have noticed Washington County Sheriff’s Office presence at the Saltzman and Thompson intersection before spring break. They will continue to monitor this busy intersection for any traffic violations by drivers, before and after school. Thank you for driving safely through this intersection, for the safety of all of our students and to avoid a hefty fine. Here’s are 5 ways to be a considerate driver:
Leave the house earlier, so you’re not in a rush.
Consider walking, biking or sending your child on the school bus if available.
Obey crossing guard flags. When a crossing guard is in the intersection with flag out, it is illegal for cars to enter.
Obey school zone speeds and do not speed up to get through a yellow light. This puts our children, families and crossing guards in danger.
Follow the message we teach our kids: PALS (polite, alert, legal, safe). There’s no reason to honk.
Helping students cross the street!

Getting across safely.

Findley Community Making a Difference
Findley has been collecting unwanted school supplies at the end of the year and donated those supplies for 8 years. This year the parents involved were Jayashree and Anil Balwanti, Kristin Vande Zandschulp and Allison Greene. These are all 5th grade parents. We would love for this tradition to continue at Findley after this year. If you would like to get involved, please contact Kristin Vande Zandschulp at kpvande@gmail.com.
Thank you, Findley families for your generosity, and thank you to the parents who coordinated this effort!
