It is hard to believe we have completed our first month of school. September was an exciting month filled with new experiences and uncertainty about what the actual school day would look like. As expected, the students continue to show resiliency and rise to the occasion. As we move forward we are happy to settle into our routines and get back to enjoying our elementary school experience.

As always, our teachers and support staff did an outstanding job preparing for the start of a new school year.

At Alpine Elementary School we value collaboration with parents and the community. Your questions, comments, and ideas are always welcomed as we look to continually improve and evolve with the world around us. I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming school events.

Mr. Giuseppe Leone, Principal

Big picture

October is a very busy month. During the month of October we celebrate the Week of Respect and Red Ribbon Week. We have many activities scheduled for these special events.

The Week of Respect is October 4th - 8th. To kick off this week all schools around the state will wear blue on October 4th in recognition of National Stomp out Bullying Day. During this week our school will be participating in various activities which focus on ways to create a positive school climate in which everyone and everything is treated with care, compassion and respect.

Red Ribbon Week is October 25th - 28th. Red Ribbon Week is a United States initiative of prevention and education about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. This week we will focus on making healthy and safe choices.

Please see the attached letters for our list of dress-up days.
