The New Play Structure is Almost Done...!
Principal's Office
Here is our Roadrunner Weekly for the week of August 26th through August 30th. Well, what a great first full week of school it was! Topping off the week was a "Bucket Filler" assembly by guest speaker Kelly Nickel, AKA - "Mr. Five Cent"! Mr. Five Cent talked to us about the importance of being bucket fillers, not bucket dippers, and putting on our "lids of resiliency." Check out some pictures below and click on the attachment for more info.
As you can see from the picture above, our new play structure is almost complete! Special thanks to Wes Roznowski, Gene Roadenizer, Mrs. Gonzales, and the whole Pineschi family for pitching in on Saturday! We hope to get the playground bark in and topped off this week and complete the installation and safety check by the time we return from our three-day Labor Day Weekend!
Also, as the year begins, we wanted to remind everyone to please put your child's first and last name on any sweatshirts, coats, lunch boxes/bags, water bottles, etc., that they bring to school. Sadly, we end up having to donate lots of clothes and lunch items that go unclaimed every year. Please help us preserve your hard earned dollars by putting names on your student's belongings.
Lastly, i-Ready will not be available for at home online use until the students finish their in school diagnostic testing which should be completed by September 6th. When available, please encourage your child to continue using it for 45 minutes or more per subject, per week to stay sharp on his or her math and ELA skills.
Have a great week!
