Acuity
Acuity has CHANGED!! It is not as straight forward or user friendly as it used to be. Here are some step by step notes I have gathered today during the two classes that were able to test:
1. The Acuity link is on Lost Creek's web page on the right at the bottom.
2. Students will need their user names and passwords (that you print from the Engrade site using your user name and password that Mrs. Biggs put in your mailbox).
3. After logging in, students will need to click on the test they are to take (LA or Math)
4. Then students click on the Tests and Quizzes link (red dot beside it on the left hand side).
5. Then there is a green button that says Take Test, or something like that.
* 4th and 5th - please don't forget to print the reference sheets for Math that Mrs. Biggs sent you in an Acuity email. Students CAN use these during the test.
* Special needs students that have an IEP with special accommodations for tests, will take the test with his/her Special Ed. teacher. Please give that teacher the ticket with the student's user name and password.
*If you have any questions, or if students are not able to access a test, please let me know.
*Please check your rosters one more time to see if you have all of your students and no extras. Let me know if something isn't correct.

Parent Information Calendar
I have added a calendar for parents to access (upper right area of Lost Creek's web page). This calendar will not list everything on our activities calendar (meetings and such), but will list things parents need to know about. Please mention this in your newsletters or at conferences.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Parent Survey
The parent survey for our AdvancED process can be accessed here: http://bit.ly/lostcreekparentsurvey
Please add this to your classroom newsletters. We have not placed this on Lost Creek's page because then anyone who happens upon our page can take the survey.

Library Schedule
Just a reminder, you may send your students (a few at a time, of course!) to the library at ANY TIME** for the following activities:
*exchange library books
*extra computer time (free time reward, project, SRC quizzes, etc)
*silent reading
*research
*make-up tests (please know that the library may not be totally silent for this and I can't sit with students to help)
** You might avoid Wednesday after 2:30, as I have bus duty and Sally is gone by this time.

Ruined Books
I have had to discard over 80 books this school year already. A few were normal wear and tear. MANY were wet, molded, pages missing, eaten by dogs, etc...
Please help me encourage students to be responsible with their library books. Thanks!
