Another great quarter!
March is Music in Our Schools Month!
The month of March brings us track out, Dr. Seuss' Birthday, and warmer weather. Did you know March is also Music in Our Schools Month(MIOSM)? The National Association for Music Education states "the purpose of MIOSM is to raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children – and to remind citizens that schools is where all children should have access to music."
Students above are celebrating music at FA I&II by playing the music trivia game about their teachers. The game was emailed to families on Thursday, March 12 so it could played at home!
In Kindergarten
During this quarter, kindergarten students focused on keeping a steady beat while moving and singing. The first video is from the week of Valentine's Day. Students learned a partner song and dance that moved in a circle. The second video is of students singing a rhyming song called Two, Four, Six, Eight.

Throughout the quarter, students had the opportunity to work with the xylophones, metallophones, and glockenspiels. Below is a video of the song, Build a Burrito. Students sang and played instruments to accompany the book, Build a Burrito. They also began a literacy and music cross curricular project which they will continue to work on during 4th quarter.

In 2nd Grade
Congratulations to all of the 2nd grade students for their Seuss-A-Palooza performance! They worked very hard throughout the whole quarter to put on a spectacular show! The performance was recorded by 2 high school students and will be sent to parents after it has been given to Miss Warshany.
Have a fun, safe track out!
Sincerely,
Miss Warshany
