Classroom Happenings
ELA: Mrs. Camden
In ELA this week we finished our work with signposts. We had our summative assessment on Thursday. Summative grades for the assessment and two September books will be updated next week.
Just a reminder, students are required to read two books each month for the rest of the school year. These books count as summative grades. Students should be finished with one book for August, both books for September, and almost finished with the first book for October. Remind you child that they must fill out a completed book form for their reading to count. Completed book forms are in the classroom next to the pencil sharpener.
I will be placing a Scholastic book order onTuesday October 15th for anyone who submits an order online.
If you’d like to donate books to our classroom library, we have wish-lists on Scholastic and Amazon. Thanks!
Science: Mr. Vorel
Some of the materials we will use to complete this project include: cardboard, duct tape, electrical tape, and batteries. Students will also be using old holiday lights and toy parts in their arcade games. We would gladly accept any donation of old holiday lights, games/toys, tape, or cardboard.
As grades are being placed into SIS, please note that if an assignment has a comment of incomplete, your student should revise and resubmit their work. I am happy to work with any student who would like individualized help during lunch or before/after school.
Social Studies: Mr. McGinnis
