Keeping you Informed
Bobcats,
I hope everyone is able to stay cool during this heatwave. Not much to report this week as I think we are settling into our new norm. Please make sure you updated the Assignment Teacher Assignments if you have not done so this week. An item for discussion is YLMS awards night. Please let your department lead if you would like to do our normal by nominating two students each and we can create a form like we did for the weekly recognition which will allow you to fill it out and email will go home with a certificate. We will only do a certificate recognition and not a virtual production. The promotion will be a virtual promotion and that will take enough work to prepare.
Weekly Certificate of Recognition- Please fill out this form if you have a student that is doing a great job with remote learning and you would like to recognize them. You can nominate as many students as you like each week. We had over 50 students get recognized last week! Thank you for taking the time to let students know they are doing a great job.
Thoughts and Prayers- I wanted everyone to keep Jackie in your thoughts and prayers as she underwent an emergency appendicitis last night. It should be a fast surgery but I am sure a text or email would be appreciated.
I also just learned that Fransisco's wife has pancreatic cancer and it does not look good. She started chemo last week and he asked if everyone could pray for her.
PLC- Vertical. Don't forget if you would like to use one of these Vertical days to complete the Bullying Training that is okay. Department leads will send an invite (please invite David and I to your Vertical)
YLMS Staff Store- Don't forget Bobcats we have a new online store where you can buy YLMS gear. I have ordered a sweatshirt and polo and the quality of both is very nice. What is nice is you order what you want when you want and then it is shipped to you. No waiting for everyone to buy items. Yorba Linda Middle Gear Store
Have a Great Week!
