The 5 Reactions By: Jakob Benzi

Synthesis Reaction

Real Reaction: Mg + O2 ---> MgO

An example of a Synthesis Reaction is when we combine peanuts and chocolate to make Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, these combined make a nice treat.

But wait there's more!!!

Last but not least...

Combustion Reaction

Real Reaction: CH4(g) + 2 O2(g) → CO2(g) + 2 H2O(g) ( combustion of methane )

An example of a combustion reaction can occur when you are lighting a match. The chemicals on the stick react with the oxygen gas in the air. This causes a chemical reaction, and ultimately, a combustion reaction.
