Family Message - August 31st, 2021
Good evening Stanwood Middle School Families!
We wanted to say thank you for a great two days of Family Connections Meetings! Our Staff is very excited to get started on Thursday!
We are sending you a lot of information tonight and will also send another Family Message tomorrow night.

Schedules
All schedules are live in Skyward and all requests for changes are currently up to date. If you made a request and you don't see it, please email Ms. Christmas at hchristmasharris@stanwood.wednet.edu
The last day for schedule changes is September 10 for the first semester.
We will have stations set up in the gym before school starts on Thursday, September 2 for students to pick up their schedules to make sure they have the most accurate version. At 7:25 students will go to their first period class if they are finished with breakfast.
Lunches
Lunches are based on fourth period classes. If a student has 4A on their schedule, then they will have lunch before fourth period. If a student has 4B on their schedule, then they will have lunch after fourth period.

A reminder that all 8th grade students will eat in the West Gym. Seventh graders will eat in the cafeteria for the first half of their lunch while sixth graders go outside and enjoy some free time. Half way through the lunch period, sixth graders will come into the cafeteria to eat lunch.

All first season sports (Cross Country, Football, Girls' Soccer, and Softball) begin September 7.

The basics are a great place to start for needed school supplies (some teachers will have additional needs):
A good supply of pens (blue and/or black) and pencils
4-5 composition notebooks
College ruled paper
Binder/Folders
Highlighters
Calculator--low function with square root
Students will also need to dress for P.E. daily

Ms. Fox's Farewell Message
As mentioned previously, Ms. Fox left to work closer to home. Change is tough! She wanted to send a message to all of the 7th and 8th graders saying goodbye. We will email all of the students in the 7th and 8th grade her message this week.
