Hillcrest Family Newsletter

February 14th, 2020

Thank you!

What a great day. We ALL look forward to Science and Engineering Day every year and we couldn't do it without your support.

Thank you to all of the families who donated materials to support all of the design briefs. What started as a wild idea from Flight Academy students came to life for all of our Hillcrest learners today. Your donations made this day affordable and possible.

Thank you to our PTO for working Science and Engineering Day into their budget for this year. We were able to feed ALL of the Flight Academy students as a thank you for all of their hard work and planning. The pizza was very appreciated!

Yearbook Group Photos

Mortenson Photography will be at Hillcrest the morning of Thursday, February 20th to take candid and group photos for the yearbook. Any student who has participated in a Hillcrest group, including scouts, will have their group photo taken for the yearbook. If you would like your child to wear anything specific for this photo (for example, scout uniform or spirit wear) please have them wear it to school this day.

If your child did not have a yearbook photo taken earlier in the school year, they will also have their photo taken this day so they can be in the yearbook.

Yearbook orders will be sent home sometime in March.

Attention: 2nd and 3rd Grade Concert

The 2nd and 3rd grade concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 26th at 6:30PM. Dress rehearsal will be held at 9:00AM on that same day for anyone who can't join us that evening.

Reading Results for January

Once again, Mrs. Berg's class was the top reader with 81%! Mrs. Lauer's class had 70% and Mr. Kocovsky 56%. Then, there was a three way tie with Mrs. Holt's class, Mrs. Burr's class and Mrs. Hall's class all having 48% of students returning reading logs last month.

Congratulations to all of our readers!!
