- Eye contact- with masks and distance, maintaining eye contact during the lesson is critical. Although, students may not be able to see your smile, your eyes can communicate emotions like excitement and concern, and you can use them to keep students engaged.
- Body language- teachers can use body language to engage students during a lesson, motions like pointing to the board, air high-five, heart hands, and a superhero stance can have an impact on student focus, and encouragement.
- Cold-calling- when done correctly, cold- calling is an effective way to engage students while maintaining social distancing.
