Principal's Message
Today is the last day of quarter one, and it has been a terrific start to a school year; way to go Duniway students! Thank you, Duniway teachers, for all of your fantastic work; thank you, students, for all of your engagement, and thank you, community, for all of your support. Duniway is the best place in the world to work each and every day, and it is our collective community that makes it so.
This a reminder that tomorrow is a no-school day for teachers to prepare grades. Report cards will be sent home with students on or around November 10th. Teachers are excited to share about students, to talk about what they are learning, and to discuss report cards over conference time. If you have questions, please save them for the conferences.
Please see the updates below, and have a wonderful weekend.
Best.

End of Quarter One/Report Card Reminders
For several years, PPS K-5 educators have used conference forms instead of the K-5 report card to communicate with families about student progress in the first quarter of school.
This year, however, we are returning to using first-quarter report cards for all grades. This means that K-5 families will receive a first-quarter report card for their children in mid-November. K-5 families will not receive a separate conference form when they meet with their teachers for conferences later in November. Instead, conference conversations will use student work, fall assessment data, and the report card to discuss and share student progress.
Please look for communications from your child’s teacher about how to sign-up for a conference on November 21-22. Also, please note report cards will be sent home in backpacks on or around November 10th. Please look for these to arrive home via your student.

Tickets are officially on sale for the 44th annual Duniway Holiday Home Tour & Boutique. We are so excited to bring this event back in person. We have loads of local vendors lined up for the artisan boutique in the gym as well. Advance tickets are $30 and they can be purchased at www.duniwayhometour.org
Speaking of the home tour - we need more than 100 volunteers to pull off this amazing event. Please visit Konstella to sign up to volunteer. There are many options available from decorating to ticket sales to house angels to clean up. The home tour is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for the PTA, please support in any way you can.
