Connections Decorate your Door Contest (Optional)
YOU MAY WANT TO START YOUR PLANNING IN CONNECTIONS!!! Decorating can begin when we return from our Thanksgiving break!!!
It's that time of year again and we will be entering the DOOR DECORATING season!! This year, our theme is "Celebrating the Holidays and Making Connections" and each Connections class (if you choose to participate) will design, create, and decorate the classroom door. You may extend beyond the actual door though the door must be included in the design. Please consider participating in the contest. The winning teacher and class will be rewarded.
Doors are judged based on three elements:
Celebrating the Holidays and Making Connections Theme
Doors must be decorated by Friday, December 8. They will be judged and the winner announced on Tuesday, December 12. Pictures will be taken and forms sent for voting.
Even if you don't want to be part of the contest, you could wrap your door. Just an idea :)
Connections Information to Share
Here is the link to Mrs. Emmon's Adobe Spark Page to supplement what Ms. Caldwell did with the teachers in the Bucket Session. This is a student guide that teachers can use to navigate students through Naviance.
Report cards went out last week so one on one conferences will be the primary focus of Connections.
9th Graders- Test scores from last spring (8th grade) will be distributed through 9th grade Connections classes.
11th Graders- All third year students must return their ACT letters ASAP. Any ACT/SAT letters returned to teachers must be placed in the labeled box in the mailroom.
All Levels- Seat time recovery sessions began on Nov. 14. It is the student's responsibility to track attendance and get a contract from their administrator. The next session is Thursday, Nov. 16.
