HORSEPOWER
How they got the meaning of HORSEPOWER and who created it
HORSEPOWER
Horsepower
James watt figured out in the late 1800's that the was a more efficient way of operating steam engines. He figured out that horses could do the same amount of work as 1.5 ponies. So he doubled the ponies and called this one horsepower.
What I Learned.
I learned that one horsepower is equal to 750 watts and that James Watt discovered horsepower. Without him our world would be much more difficult.
