MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY ( & EVERYDAY)
Hello Dragon Families!
The annual Make a Difference Day will take place on October 27, 2018. If you and your family would like to get involved, please visit www.volunteergb.com for more information. There are many opportunities to volunteer on this day, but we are lucky enough at JDAL to have students making a difference every day!
We currently have two events taking place. One is a t-shirt drive to raise money for Acceptional Minds, an organization in our community that assists families whose children have recently been diagnosed with Autism. A JDAL student worked with a company to design a t-shirt and is accepting orders until December 10. Please see the form below to make an order.
Another student who graduated in 2016 has recreated her capstone event and is hosting an East River Trail Walk and Clean Up on Sunday, October 21st from 10am -1 pm. Please see the event details below.
We are so proud of our students who volunteer their time to help others. Thank you for all you do!
Thank you for being a dragon! We appreciate you and we believe in you.
With gratitude,
Jen + the JDAL Staff
TALL SHIPS ART PROJECT - ARTISTS NEEDED
JDAL is participating in the Tall Ships Art in the Schools Project ! Our school is responsible for using a sail to create an art project. We may use the sail as we wish, but the final project must consist of 80% sailcloth and the art must be able to withstand outdoor display during Nicolet Bank Tall Ships 2019.
An event producer will check on progress throughout the project and submit photos/video to be used for social media purposes (projects will not be disclosed to public or competitors). The final projects will be unveiled on Friday, July 26th at Nicolet Bank Tall Ships at Leicht Park downtown Green Bay.
Public voting will occur at Nicolet Bank Tall Ships throughout the event and the winning school will be announced on Sunday, July 28th (time TBD). The winning school will receive $1,000 to fund their art program for the next school year.
If you are interested in participating in this awesome opportunity, please see Ms. Jen.
