KCHE e-News
Winter 2017
Dear Teachers:
I hope this finds you well. What an interesting time to be a social studies teacher! I delayed sending out this edition of our newsletter until after the presidential inauguration because I wanted to include some resources that might be helpful to you in the weeks ahead. You will find links to those web-based tools attached. Also included in this newsletter is the latest Kansas legislative update from Nate McAlister as well as a list of upcoming professional development opportunities. If you have any questions or there is anything the organization can do to help or support you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Emily Williams

Legislative Update by Nate McAlister
The Legislative Session is upon us and the prognosticators with their full-throated predictions are out in full bloom. Last year I joined the group with my own set of predictions, many of which fell flat on their face. This year I will make only two predictions and then give you a financial lay of the land, where we are and where we are headed.
