As well as the generations of activists who have advanced the need for our Nation to recognize Juneteenth as a way to reconcile our past as we build a new American future together. In observance of Juneteenth Day of Observance, 2023, President Biden proclaimed: "We remind ourselves of the sacred proposition rooted in Scripture and enshrined in our Declaration of Independence: that we are all created equal in the image of God and each of us deserves to be treated equally throughout our lives. That is the promise of America that every generation is charged to keep alive. While the opposition may seem fierce and the fire of conflict may be intense, the story of Juneteenth reveals that freedom, justice, and equality will always prevail." That's an important message for everyone, but particularly for children, who will inherit whatever we leave them.

RE-REGISTRATION AND DATA CONFIRMATION 2023-24
The process is open through the Aeries Parent Parent. Log-in here and choose the Parent Portal to complete data confirmation. For assistance via phone, please call 951-509-5014 from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM daily. For in-person assistance registering a new student or re-registering a returning student, visit the Help Center on 10365 Keller Ave, Building C, Riverside, CA 92505 daily from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM on June 8-29 and July 5-21. No appointment necessary. The office is closed tomorrow.

Data confirmation is a feature of our secure student information system, Aeries, that allows parents to update student demographics, contacts, and medical conditions, as well as view and agree to school policies, upload registration documents, and update authorization information.

For in-person registration for returning students, please bring your identification (ID card, driver's license). For students who are new to the District, please bring the following documents to register in-person:

• Your identification (ID card, driver's license)
• Verification of Birth
• Proof of residence (utility bill, rental lease, pay stub, or government-issued letters such as SSI, disability, and Social Services) that must be current within the last 30 days and must be under the parent's name.
• Proof of immunizations/shot records

CALIFORNIA ASSESSMENT OF STUDENT PERFORMANCE AND PROGRESS
Student reports for the annual Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments for English Language Arts and math in grade 3 through 8 and 11 are now available in the Aeries Parent Portal here. Choose Test Scores and then State Test Scores Reports. Reports for students who took the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) are also available. An additional report on the California Science Test is available for students in grades 5, 8, and 12. These tests can be combined with other measures like report card grades, classroom work, and teacher observations to give families and teachers a more complete picture of student learning.

MEASURE J SAFETY PROJECTS UNDERWAY

You will notice school construction projects underway this summer utilizing Measure J funds. Many of the projects involve infrastructure and are not visible. Others, such as fencing and video surveillance continue to be prioritized. All of our Measure J projects and other facility-related projects are designed to address school safety, security, and student and staff wellbeing.
