The Honors Program wants to welcome both new and returning students as the new semester begins. Whether you're an incoming freshman or a returning member, you are invited to attend and discuss the question, "What does it mean to be an honors student?"

Guest Speaker: Taryn Moore
Taryn Moore, an alumna of the University Honors Program, graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Business with a concentration in Chinese. As a student at CSUF, she received the Domestic Student Internationalist Award from Phi Beta Delta, the Lois and Henry Chi Award from the Chinese American Faculty Association, the Emeriti Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship, and the Friends of International Marketing Scholarship. Taryn presented her research comparing the economic impact on higher education systems in China and the United States at numerous local and regional academic conferences. Following her experiences as an Honors Student at CSUF, she lived and worked in China for several years. She will be attending Stanford University in the Fall for graduate work in International Education.
