Great Days of Service is Next Week! I can tell by the great posters done by Darcy's Ambassadors. Her team really went all out on those!

Mulberry Elementary has a wonderful opportunity to partner with Gwinnett County for the Great Days of Service. During the Great Days of Service, our school will be collecting canned foods and personal hygiene items for families in need. These items will be distributed throughout the co-ops and shelters in our area. Please consider donating one of the items listed below. We will be collecting these items from October 19th-October 22nd. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!

Pre-K/Kindergarten: Macaroni and Cheese

First Grade: Canned Soups and Fruits

Second Grade: Canned Meats and Pastas

Third Grade: Toilet Paper

Fourth Grade: Toothbrushes and Toothpaste

Fifth Grade: Deodorant

Letter from a PBL Presentor!

Second grade invited a Publix distribution manager to come share how ice cream was made. He met with all of second grade, and after the meeting all the second graders wrote him thank you notes. Here was his reply:

Just returned back to work this morning from vacation and had a package from Mulberry Elementary in my mail box. What a great way to start my day with so many great letters from the students.

Thank you for sending these to me. I will keep them in my office and anytime I may not be having the best of days, I will pull them out because I know they will put a smile on my face.

I was very impressed with their letters and the depth of knowledge and thinking they display. You and your team are doing a great job. Keep up the great work.

By the way tell Joshua (one of the letters that had the colored paper behind it), I will see what I can do to get him a job at Publix when he gets older.

Thanks again for the opportunity to share with the kids.

You all are doing great work! I see it, Jennifer sees it, parents see it, and now the community and business leaders are beginning to see it. I am proud to work with all of you!

Bus Evacuation Schedule for Wednesday, October 28th!

We will try the bus evacuations once again. Mark you calendars for the 28th and follow the schedule below. Remember all you need to do is bring your class to the front of the school.
