Tools and features you and your students can use now!
New Kahoot! Feature
For all of you Kahoot! users, there is now a "Jumble" feature. Rather than simply creating multiple choice questions for your Kahoot! games, you can now create questions where the quiz takers will have four choices that can be reordered to answer the question. Students could order items from highest to lowest (answers to math problems or melting points of elements), oldest to most recent (chronological events in history or in plotlines from literature), or in a which came first scenario. There's something for everyone!
Use Google Classroom to Differentiate
The new feature in Google Classroom that allows you to post an assignment to ONLY select students is an incredibly POWERFUL option. Use the students drop down list to choose the select group of students that you wish to see an assignment! See an example below.
Virtual Reality Experiences - Right On the Chromebook!
If you caught Matt Miller's (author of Ditch That Textbook and presenter during our election day PD) most recent email, both USA Today and The New York Times have YouTube playlists that enable users to interact with 360 degree video, essentially providing students with an opportunity for a virtual reality experience right on their Chromebook! Since these videos are part of a YouTube playlist, they are easily searchable if you are looking for a particular topic that you would like your students to peruse. Check them out here: USA Today 360 Video Experiences and The Daily 360 from The New York Times.
