Calia recently sent out notifications to all of her teachers discussing some of her class challenges and ways we could help and improve her learning. I was impressed she understood how she learned best and communicated her style of learning to her teachers. She is my Determination Queen.

Description: Contest is open to students in grades 6-12 worldwide. Applicant must create a short video (up to 60 seconds) about the human population growth that highlights one of the given global challenges.
Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: February 28, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to students at least 13 years of age at the time of application, be legal residents of the United States, be currently enrolled in middle or high school, and must enroll no later than the fall of 2026 in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Applicant must submit an essay on one of nine prompts related to free speech, bullying, disagreements, or other personal questions.
