The Compass
Week of November 14, 2022
Navigation Notes
Welcome Back Westside Families! We sure did miss everyone this past week, and hope you and your family are safe after the storm. The district will discuss making up these days at an upcoming School Board meeting, but they will not be until after we return in January. Our Thanksgiving Break starting next Monday, 11/21, will stay intact. School will resume on the following Monday, 11/28.
This Monday, 11/14, is “Bring Your Parent to Running Club” day. Please see email and notices from Mr. T about details.
This Friday, 11/18, is one of the Make-Up days from Hurricane Ian. Students will have a FULL day and be dismissed at 2:30pm.
Academic Support Program (ASP) will begin this week for students who were invited. If you your child was given a seat in the program, they would have brought home a letter stating what days & times they need to attend. Students will only attend 1-2 sessions a week, so be sure your child has the correct day and time. If you did not receive a letter on Tuesday, please reach out to your teacher. Some late responses had to be waitlisted as well. Please see details below to ensure a successful experience!
This week we will celebrate students for being SAFE, RESPECTFUL and RESPONSIBLE with our second PBIS quarterly event! Students have the option to purchase a ticket for 50 Compass Cash. See below for more details and tips for attending.
PTO is hosting their next meeting this Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 5:30p in our Media Center. You do not need to be a registered volunteer to join us!
Fall Portrait Make-Ups and Retakes have been rescheduled in December. More information will be coming out soon.
As always, thank you for your support! Our office will be open Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-3:30PM. Please come on in if we can assist you in any way.
