Habitat: A lot are found in The Great Lakes, especially in Lake Eerie

Prey: Smaller fish, shellfish, and insect larvae

Circulatory System: A Brief

The circulatory system of the perch includes the heart and a single circuit of blood flow.The blood from the body is pumped through the heart and towards the gills.There it is oxygenated and distributed throughout the body then it returns back to the heart.

The largest yellow perch ever found was 3 lbs. and 5 oz. in 2003 at Harford County Farm.


On the fish only the first spine on the second dorsal is sharp and their scales are rough.
