A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL SCRIVO
Dear West Bloomfield Families,
As previously communicated by our district leadership, tomorrow, Monday, March 16th between 11 AM and 3 PM will be the only day that all buildings will be open across the district. However, you will have other opportunities to pick up instructional resources and devices available to you. There are several things we are hoping to accomplish tomorrow and we are asking that you carefully read through this communication to ensure that everything goes as smoothly and safely as possible. Please review the end of this communication to see how traffic flow will work at Scotch Elementary.
If you are NOT picking up food and/or a district chromebook tomorrow, we ask that you wait on coming into the building until after 1 PM. We know that there will be high volumes of people attempting to get food and devices during this time. Furthermore, the only way that we can get you food and devices is by having you come into the building. In turn, we want to do our very best in limiting the number of people in the building at one time as possible.
We realize that this is additional information and we appreciate your cooperation.
Keep in mind that we are going to limit the number of people in the building to 50 at a time in order to maintain social distance. Please carefully follow our school’s plan for entrance and exit (see end of communication). This will help us keep our process efficient. Your understanding and patience with this process is greatly appreciated.

MICHIGAN SOC OFFERS MICHIGAN CHILD PROTECTIVE REGISTRY
Are your children safe while online? Michigan families, especially minors, are becoming inundated with advertisements from alcohol, tobacco, pornography, illegal drug and gambling marketers through different internet and cell phone inboxes. Texting their advertisements is the newest marketing effort that many of these companies are using. Thankfully, the Michigan Secretary of State’s office offers a free program to stop adult advertisements from reaching your email address and cell number via text. The Michigan Child Protection Registry is a free do-not-contact service for Michigan’s families.
As a strong supporter of this Registry, we would like to encourage you to sign your entire family up for this program and inform your friends and colleagues about how they can protect their children and families from unwanted adult advertising. To sign up only takes seconds. Just go to www.ProtectMIChild.com and keep your family safe.
