Land O' Lakes Public School
June 2016 Newsletter
A Message from the Office
It is hard to believe how quickly the school year has passed and is coming to an end. It has been a wonderful year - what a school! Together we’ve learned so much and shared experiences that will remain in our memories for years to come.
In June, we reflect upon so many wonderful experiences we have had working and learning together and to be thankful for. I am grateful for the support, generosity and warmth of our students, staff and the Land O' Lakes community. Thank you to all of you who contributed in so many ways. To our parents for all of your work helping get your children ready for school in the morning; packing healthy lunches; and making sure homework and reading gets accomplished and turned in. To our staff for providing rich and engaging, well-rounded experiences for your children and knowing that education is about joy, wonder and fostering curiosity, along with the development of social skills needed for success.
With only a couple weeks to go, I hope to connect with many of you before the summer begins whether at our graduation ceremony, awards assembly or the school picnic. In any event, I hope that the summer break finds you with time to relax, play and enjoy your children. Have a safe and happy summer! See you in September!
In order to assist with planning for September 2016, the Limestone District School Board is asking parents who wish to register their children for Junior and /or Senior Kindergarten to do so as soon as possible.
Children born in 2012 are eligible to attend Junior Kindergarten and children born in 2011 will attend Senior Kindergarten in September. Continuing this September, Land O’ Lakes will be offering Full Day Kindergarten where students attend school daily. Please pass this message on to any parent with children belonging in these age groups.
Please contact Mrs. Manion regarding registration at 613-335-5254. You will be required to bring your child’s proof of birth, immunization and health card to the school.
