Marc J. Smith - Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Schools
Winter Season
Good Afternoon Dolphin Community,
It is a busy time of the year here in the Dennis-Yarmouth School Community. There have been, and are still planned, many school events this month including events that show off the hard work of our music department here in D-Y. We also recognized over 30 students who were inducted into the National Honor Society last week, a sign of the commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, and character that are a big part of the experience at Dennis-Yarmouth. These events continue a great tradition here in our district of celebrating students for the many talents, strengths, and areas of hard work that make a successful Dolphin.
As a way for me to continue to learn about our district, its strengths, traditions, and areas for future growth, I want to remind families of my first family listening session scheduled for next week. As a reminder, it is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13th from 6:00 -7:30 pm. The meeting will occur over Zoom. The link to the Zoom meeting is:

Based upon the feedback that we received from our earlier survey, we are planning on having translation services for this meeting in Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic. If this meeting date is not convenient, another meeting is scheduled for January.
Lastly, I want to wish all of the Jewish families in our district a Happy Chanukah. May today through the 15th be a time of joy, reflection, and festivity among you, your friends and family.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
All the best,
Marc J. Smith, Ed. D.
