Principal's Message

Good evening, Webster families.

Thank you for making attendance at school your family's priority. We will continue to recognize classes with the highest percentage of perfect attendance. The "pet" wolves in the classrooms were named Wolfie and Obi-wan Toby. We will find out which classroom they will be traveling to on Monday.

We will begin our SART (School Attendance Review Team) meetings with families of students with excessive absences at this point in the school year in the next couple of weeks.

It is very important that we have parent representation at Webster. Parent voice is invaluable. Please consider meeting with other parents, teachers and staff for 1 hour per month by nominating yourself or another parent for the Webster School Site Council. The nomination link is: https://forms.gle/RWa2i4zDLN58ZvrNA

October is Parent Teacher Conference month. You should have already scheduled your conference(s) with your children's teachers. If you have not yet scheduled your meeting(s), please reach out to the teacher this week to put it on the calendar. Friday, October 13th, is Parent/Teacher Conference Day. This is a pupil free day.

The famous Webster Penny Wars continue in the main office. Gather those coins in the couch cushions to prepare for the strategy and fun! The results as of last week were:

4th grade - 20,832 points

2nd grade - 2,914 points

1st grade - 1,193 points

TK - 500 points

Kinder - 384 points

3rd grade - 250 points

5th grade - (-2780) points

Much effort is going into sabotage points toward the 4th grade and trying to gain the lead!

If you are a parent or guardian of an English Learner, please join us on Thursday at 8:00am during our English Learner Advisory Council. We have discussions on how to best help your student and how the school and district are supporting our English Learners.

Thank you to families that attended the PTA Chuck E. Cheese restaurant night. It is always filled with fun and community.

Webster SSC Opportunity!

Would you be interested in serving on the Webster Elementary School Site Council as a parent or community representative? To nominate yourself, a fellow parent, or a community member who is not employed by PUSD, you may submit your/his/her/their name using this Google Form as soon as possible.

School Site Council is composed of equal numbers of staff and parent or community representatives who serve a two-year term. SSC members meet eight times a year to oversee the implementation of various programs in the school, including state and federally-funded programs. Tax Deductible Giving through Webster's Annual Fund

Daniel Webster Elementary School has been honored as a California Distinguished School. Great teachers, strong leadership, and parent involvement make Daniel Webster a great school to send our children.

In addition to the great education our students receive, they are also provided with various opportunities to participate in our music and arts activities. We're asking for your support to continue this legacy by donating to the Daniel Webster Annual Fund and help us reach our goal of $50,000.

These funds will be used to financially support our music and arts programs, to update our playground activities, and to support the instructional goals set forth by the School Site Council
We would like to see every family donate at least $1.00 per week ($50 for the school year) for each child they have enrolled at Daniel Webster.

Think of it as donating less than the cost of a weekly cup of coffee or soft drink to help ensure that your child receives a high quality education.

If you can donate more, we would encourage you to donate towards our Giving Tree. We have various levels of donations:
Bronze - $100
Silver - $200
Gold - $300
VIP - $500 or more

If you are not able to contribute financially please consider donating your time and talents.

To donate:

If you are making matching gifts through an employer, please let them know that they must provide PEF's information to their employer in order for us to confirm their gift.
