Letters have been sent out to families of current 6th grade students who we will be needing record of the Meningococcal and/or tDap vaccines for the next school year- According to the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics, routine vaccination is an essential preventive care service for children and should not be delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students who will be in 7th-12th grades will also be required to have one dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccine. **THESE VACCINES ARE DUE August 17, 2023** The Hepatitis A, Meningococcal and Tdap vaccines are available through your family physician or the Lawrence Douglas County Health Department, 200 Maine St, Lawrence, KS (785-843-0721).
