Park Family,
Thank you for a quality Fall 2023 semester! We have a lot to celebrate as we continue to see academic gains, increased student attendance rates, increased student participation and ownership in clubs and organizations.
On behalf of the Administration Team, we wish you Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! We will see you back at Cypress Park on Friday, January 5, 2024 with breakfast tacos being served starting at 7:15 AM in the Commons.
Enjoy!
Chris
Celebrations
We celebrate our Cypress Park Family and CommUnity! We are excited to do important work each day as we serve over 3,000 students, 350 staff members, and over 8,000 Parents and Guardians. We are not perfect and we have areas to improve; as a whole we have a clear vision and mission and live out The Park Way to do right by kids and each other. We take great pride being a Cypress Park Tiger, and we are excited that YOU are an important part of The Park Family! Rise Up!
Below are the data from our DPM and TEKS assessments from the Fall 2023 Semester, along with our rank in our Cluster (Lakes, Springs, Ridge, and Falls) and our rank in the District. In all data, it is our goal to be #1 in our Cluster and above the District Average. As you can see, we did a GREAT job! Thank you Teachers and ICS paraprofessionals for leading our kids to this strong student performance data. Way to Rise Up!
How cold is it? ICE COLD! The CPHS debate team had no problem “breaking the ice” at the Falcon Freeze tourney at Jersey Village/Cy-Ranch HS! The competition was tough, but we managed to solidify 6 spots in finals. Chrishem Bernard and Emily Hernandez placed 6th in Duo interpretation earning their last point they needed to qualify for state! Anthony Hernandez placed 3rd and 6th in Novice Oral Interp. On both sides of the tournament. Audrey Shea placed 1st in Dramatic Interp. And lastly, Nicole Lee placed 1st in both her events DI and Poetry!! Way to “SLEIGH” the competition Tigers! Congratulations Ms. Raley and Ms. Brice!
The speech and debate team took 65 tigers to Jersey Village high school for our second novice night of the year! They competed in three rounds of World Schools & LD debate And made us unbelievably proud! Thanks to Varsity for judging and being a great example! Way to build the future Ms. Raley and Ms. Brice!
We hope that you enjoyed your lunch today! Special thanks to Ms. Cruz, Ms. Rousey, Ms. Johnson, Ms. Velez, and Ms. Perez for coordinating and serving.
