It's A Great Day to Be a Cardinal!
October 21-25
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It's hard to believe we have finished the first quarter. I have enjoyed getting to know the students and seeing them become successful middle school students. The first round of conferences will be on Thursday and report cards will be sent home on Friday. Please look over your child's report card with them and celebrate their successes and set goals for areas of improvement.
Red Ribbon Week starts this Wednesday and goes until Halloween. Please see the list of activities below.
Have a great week and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Health Bug
A new school year has begun. Wouldn’t it be great if your child didn’t bring home every cold and stomach bug that comes along? Here are some tips that can help your child stay healthy and learn good health habits along with all the math, reading, and social studies.
1. Keep hands clean.
2. Keep hands out of the eyes, mouth and nose.
3. Don’t share water bottles, food or other personal items.
4. Keep kids current on vaccinations, including a yearly flu shot
5. Boost your whole family’s immune system.
6. Laugh out loud.
7. Give kids a brain-boosting breakfast.
8. Pack a healthy lunch.
9. Pick the right backpack.
10. Get kids to play outside after school.
Final Forms
If you and/or your child haven't had the opportunity to complete your final forms please try to update them as soon as possible.

Charge the Chromebooks!
Please make sure your child gets in the habit of charging their chrome books each evening. It is important that they come to school prepared and the chrome books are as important to class as bringing paper and pencils. They will need their computers to fully participate in instruction in most classes.
